Cycloparaffin hydrocarbons, all the free bonds of their carbon atoms in it are saturated with hydrogen, are called naphthenes. There are many types of naphthenes in the petroleum. But they are not separated as the separated compounds except for compounds with low molecular mass such as cyclopentane and cyclohexane. They are classified as per the range of their boiling points and their properties are determined by their correlation factors such as Kw or CI.
